If you experience constant migraines, jaw pain, clenching, grinding, or constant tension, you may be experiencing problems with your jaw joints, otherwise known as your temporomandibular joints. Some services we offer to relieve problems that cause these symptoms are;
TMD treatment: Some symptoms of TMD are headaches, earaches, difficulty opening or closing your mouth, clicking or popping in the jaw joint, and sore or painful jaw muscles. Much of these symptoms are cause by the clenching or grinding of your teeth. Treatment options can be to crown the teeth, fill spaces, adjust the bite, or a splint.
NTI: When your jaw muscles are constantly clenching your jaw can come to a constant state of tension and varied degrees of pain. With the NTI Tension Suppression System you can significantly reduce jaw clenching by preventing contact with the molars and the canine teeth. Without this contact you cannot clench intensely and your muscles will not be fatigued.
Bruxism Treatment: Bruxism is the clenching or grinding of the teeth that occurs when a person is asleep. Some symptoms include sore jaw, sensitive teeth and difficulty opening and closing your mouth. Bruxism can flatten or wear down your teeth, chip the teeth at the gum line, damage the bone around your teeth, and damage your jaw joint. A common treatment would be a night guard. This protects your teeth from the damage caused by grinding.
