Things to know before your child’s visit
Invisalign is a custom-made aligner that is interchanged roughly every two weeks for a period of six to eighteen months, or longer depending on the severity of misalignment. Similar to a mouth or dental retainer (which is designed to keep teeth from shifting out of place), an Invisalign aligner is used for orthodontic treatment as a technique to move and properly align teeth for a beautiful smile.
After your oral exam, if Dr. Morel determines you need teeth alignment, and you want Invisalign, she will take a mold of your teeth. After this, the aligner will be computer generated and your Invisalign will be made. You will require a follow-up appointment to pick your Invisalign up.
Although Invisalign is a good way to align your teeth without affecting your smile, sometimes braces may be the better option for you. Consider discuss your options with our dentist before choosing. You should be careful with what you eat as to avoid damaging your Invisalign. You will need regular appointments to adjust your Invisalign as your smile improves.
