How to spot mouth sores
Although the direct causes of mouth sores are unknown, there are many contributing factors that can be identified, as well as various symptoms and preventative measures.
- Bad oral hygiene
- Sharp teeth
- Eating acidic foods
- Cuts from the wires of braces
- Cuts from food and other sources
- Visible sores in the mouth
- Pain or soreness
- Difficulty eating or talking
Since the cause of sores is not known, it is difficult to identify which direct measures to take to stop them. Some things that can be done are engaging in dental hygiene practices, getting brace wires fixed as soon as damage is noticeable, seeing your dentist if you have sharp teeth, and avoiding foods that are acidic.

Then, we will identify what bad habits, or foods you have been eating that have been contributing to mouth sores. After that, we will give you guidelines and tips you can follow to ensure you can prevent sores form developing.
