Veneers

Things to know before getting veneers

Veneers are similar to crowns, and are porcelain used to cover the front surface of a tooth. They are generally used for cosmetic enhancement, but can be also used to protect the enamel of the tooth.

After your oral exam, if veneers are needed, Dr. Morel will measure the size of the front surface of the tooth of treatment. Then, your mouth may be numbed before attachment of the veneer, and may be numbed for several hours after the procedure.

Let our dentist know if you have any discomfort or pain before receiving veneers. We care about your comfort and want to provide you best dental experience. Your mouth will be numb in the areas of treatment and you may have trouble speaking for several hours following the procedure. Avoid eating for a couple of hours to ensure the veneer dries properly.
