Root Canal Failure
Things to know before your visit
Most root canal treated teeth remain healthy. Occasionally a tooth treated with root canal treatment fails to heal or the pain continues. The tooth can become painful or diseased months or even years after successful treatment.
After your oral exam, if our staff determines you have root canal failure, Dr. Morel will have to treat your tooth. You will be sedated and the tooth will be extracted. Dr Morel will then discuss getting implants.
It is important to see your dentist if you experience pain after root canal treatment to avoid the development of root canal failure. This way you can avoid the loss of your tooth, which in some cases can be saved.
