Tooth Decay

Things to know before your visit

Tooth decay, or cavities result from the softening of your enamel that occur when plaque and bacteria break down the sugar of your teeth. It occurs from the negligence of dental hygiene and a variety of other oral conditions.

After your oral exam, our staff will determine whether or not you have tooth decay. If it is severe enough the tooth may require extraction. In these cases, you will be sedated and the procedure will be performed. After this Dr. Morel will discuss implants with you.

Be sure to let our dentist know if you have pain or discomfort before any oral procedures. Following your treatment you may experience toothaches, if these persist make a follow-up appointment.
